Getting here

I provide CBT counselling for anxiety disorders , depression, anger management problems and a range of conditions for which CBT is the treatment of choice. I'm accessible from much of London (and beyond), by car and by public transport.

27 Rydal Road, London SW16 1QF.

By car and bus. February 2018, Streatham High Road is open again after the emergency sewer repairs, but Mitcham Lane and Riiggindale Road are closed for the planned ones.

By car. Ambleside Avenue is one way going northwards. There is no entry into Riggindale Road from Mitcham Lane. You can turn from Tooting Bec Road into Thirlmere Road – not so much a road, more a gap in the pavement – you can see it if you zoom in on the map. (Coming from Tooting Bec, pass the Lido on the left, go over the lights and a railway bridge, and then just beyond the bus stop on the right is a gap – that's it. There shouldn't be any problems parking, and it's free.

By rail. Streatham is the nearest station (0.3 miles) and services trains from London Bridge, Victoria, Waterloo, Clapham Junction, Sutton, Croydon, Wimbledon, Mitcham, Thameslink to Farringdon, West Hampstead and up to Luton and Bedford. Streatham Common (0.6 miles) and Streatham Hill (0.8 miles) have trains to Balham, Wimbledon, Clapham Junction, Waterloo and Victoria. The shortest route from Streatham Common might be a bit scary at night as it takes you along a badly lit path. There is a cashpoint on the way from Streatham station but there's a fee (but Morrisons does cashback). There are no cashpoints on the shortest way from Streatham Common.

By tube. Go to Tooting Bec and walk (1.2 miles) or get a bus (see below) or go to Brixton and get a bus (see below).

By bus:

From Brixton: 57, 109, 118, 133, 159, 250, 333. Come out of the Tube station, turn left and go to the last but one bus stop just before the lights. In January 2018, Streatham High Road is closed before St Leonards because of a sewer repair, so the best bet is to take the bus to just before Steatham Hill and walk!

From Tooting Bec: 249, 319. There are four exits to the tube station; come out of the station (bear left at the top of teh escalators, left hand exit at the top of the stairs). The bus stop is on the other side of the road, 100 metres to your right. When you're at the bus stop, the Lighthouse Fish Bar should be opposite (good fish and chips). No cashpoints.
